Effective March 1, 2017 any CEUs that are approved by ASWB (Association of Social Work Boards) or NASW (National Association of Social Workers) National Office or Nevada Chapter will automatically be approved by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers. You will no longer need to submit an approval for these trainings.
Must complete at least 30 continuing education hours every 2 years, of which, 2 hours must be in suicide prevention and awareness, 4 hours must relate to ethics in the practice of social work and 10 hours must be in the field of practice of the licensee.
Must complete at least 36 continuing education hours every 2 years, of which, 2 hours must be in suicide prevention and awareness, 4 hours must relate to ethics in the practice of social work and 12 hours must be in the field of practice of the licensee.
Upon the request of the licensee, the Board may waive ALL BUT the legislatively mandated Suicide Prevention continuing education requirements for a licensee who is at least 65 years of age and is retired from the practice of social work.
In this presentation, Brad discusses why men either seem to be too hard or too soft, leading them to acting out in toxic ways. He will share why this may be happening and how social workers can help them return to or create a state of balance which allows them to be happier, more productive, less abusive, and more engaged in healthy living.

As part of our ongoing efforts to unite the mental health profession in Nevada, we are mixing it up this year by splitting the NASW-NV conference into two locations. The spring location was held May 22-23, 2019 at the Silver Legacy Resort in Reno, Nevada and the fall location will be October 21-22, 2019 at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
While we understand that emergencies do occur, once a participant has been registered and is expected to attend a course, the NASW-Nevada Chapter has already factored that person’s attendance into costs already absorbed by the chapter. Therefore our cancellation policy is as follows (unless stated otherwise):
